Today’s funerals are not the funerals of previous generations. Funerals today are more celebrations of the life of the deceased than the more traditional religious service. Many services have no religious connection. And, services can be held at any location and can be conducted by anyone. In many instances, there are no services of any type held. Basically, you can do whatever the deceased or the survivors want to do.
At Cascadia Cremation and Burial Services we promise to provide you the opportunity to have the type of service, if any, that you want to have. We offer all of the traditional options and will assist you in planning the type of non-traditional service you choose.
Because we offer the traditional options, we offer the following packages or bundle of services. With each package or bundle, there are no hidden costs and each includes our charge for transfer of the remains to our facility from any location within Clark County, Washington.
1. Traditional Earth Burial: This service includes basic services of the funeral director, embalming, cosmetology, casketing, one day of viewing, obtainment of death certificate and permit, transfer of the remains to the place of service, and committal service at a local cemetery. You will have additional charges for the casket, outer burial container, certified copies of the death certificate, sales tax, cemetery charges, cash advance items, and any additional services or merchandise you choose.
Our charge for this package is $2125.00.
2. Traditional with Graveside Services Only: This service includes basic services of the funeral director, embalming, cosmetology, casketing, one day of viewing, obtainment of death certificate and permit, transfer of the remains to a local cemetery, and the cemetery service. You will have additional charges for the casket, outer burial container, certified copies of the death certificate, sales tax, cemetery charges, and any additional services or merchandise you choose.
Our charge for this package is $1955.00.
3. Immediate Burial: Our charge for this service includes basic services of the funeral director, minimum sanitation of the remains, obtainment of the death certificate and permit, casketing, and transfer to a local cemetery. This charge does not include embalming, dressing, cosmetology, viewing, other merchandise, ceremony, graveside service, or cemetery charges.
Our charge for this package is $1195.00.
4. Traditional Service Followed by Cremation: Our charge for this service includes basic services of the funeral director, embalming, cosmetology, casketing, one day of viewing, obtainment of death certificate and permit, transfer of remains to place of service, and transfer of remains to the Crematory. This package does not include the casket, urn, outer container if needed, certified copies of the death certificate, sales tax, crematory charges, cemetery charges if any, or any additional services or merchandise you choose.
Our charge for this package is $1945.00.
5. Direct Cremation with a Memorial Service: Our charge for this service includes basic services of the funeral director, obtainment of death certificate and permit, memorial service direction, and transfer of remains to the crematory. This package does not include any type of outer container required by the crematory, urn, crematory charges, certified copies of the death certificate, sales tax, or any additional services or merchandise you choose.
Our charge for this package is $825.00
6. Direct Cremation: Our charge for this service includes basic services of
the funeral director, obtainment of death certificate and permit, transfer of remains to the funeral home and crematory, outer container suitable to the crematory, and crematory basic fee. This package does not include urn, certified copies of the death certificate, cash advance items, sales tax, or any additional services or merchandise you choose.
Our charge for this package is $599.00.
7. Forwarding of Remains to Another Funeral Home: Our charge for this
service includes basic services of the funeral director, obtainment of death certificate and permit, embalming, preparation of remains for shipment, and transport of remains to local airport or railroad. This package does not include viewing, a ceremony, merchandise, required shipping containers, shipping charges, sales tax, certified copies of the death certificate, or any additional services or merchandise you choose.
Our charge for this package is $1095.00.
8. Receiving Remains from Another Funeral Home: Our charge for this
service includes basic services of the funeral director, transfer of remains from local airport or railroad, and transfer to local cemetery or crematory. This package does not include viewing, a ceremony, graveside services, merchandise, funeral service vehicles, sales tax, cash advance items, or cemetery charges.
Our charge for this package is $895.00.
9. Transfer of Remains to OHSU for Body Donation: Our charge for this
service includes basic services of the funeral director, embalming, obtainment of death certificate and permit, and transfer of remains to OHSU. This package does not include, viewing, a ceremony, merchandise, sales tax, certified copies of the death certificate, or any other merchandise and service you might choose.
Our charge for this package is $1095.00
In addition to the above package or service options you may pick and choose from the many other services we offer. A complete list of the services we offer may be found on our General Price List. The goods and services shown are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected. These are our charges. There are no hidden charges. We do not charge for completing Veteran Administration, Social Security, or Insurance Claim forms. This service is provided at no cost to our families. Please review our General Price List . There are also additional price sheets for caskets, urns, outer burial containers, and supplemental goods and services available upon request.
